Wm Dick, Steward. We hand you herewith original letter
received from the widow of the above, to which we have replied,
(as per copy enclosed) that you will communicate with her direct
by an early mail.
You have no doubt borne in mind the statement of Mr
Donald Campbell, who lodged the trunk with us, that it is very
propable that some of the belongings of Edward Wardlaw, a
friend and fellow steward of Dick, are contained in Dick's trunk.
Wardlaw's people reside at 36, Bank-street, Hillhead, Glasgow.

glad if you will communicate with the Agent-General, requesting
him to pay the sum mentioned in each case, out of the amount he
