THE ENQUIRY.

...

A telegram was received by the Mayor from the Chairman of the Hedland Road Board:--"My Board has requested the Premier to have Koombana enquiry kept open till evidence is taken at Port Hedland.--Moore."

From T. H. Bath (for Premier) to the Mayor (Mr. H. D. Norman):--"Replying to your wire of the 26th, I have telegraphed the Resident Magistrate Port Hedland, asking him to ascertain what evidence available and what witnesses are forthcoming. If necessary the Court could then arrange for Resident Magistrate to take such evidence on Commission."
