["The s.s. Bullarra", The Hedland Advocate (Port Hedland, WA), Saturday 25 May 1912]
Recent Renovations.
The s.s. Bullarra now presents a totally different appearance to what she did before and after the recent cyclone. A new funnel, manufactured at the A.S.S. Coy.'s workshops in Adelaide, has been fitted, ventilators have been replaced, and the vessle has been thoroughly painted and regrained throughout. Boats have been repaired and re-caulked, cattle structures refitted, the engine-room carefully overhauled, and no expense has been spared in order to make her meet the convenience and comfort of the passengers. As a sea-boat she has proved her worth, and she should now prove even more popular with the travelling public then heretofore.
