Broome, February 15.


The petition, for presentation to the Premier, praying for State Government steamers to trade on the Nor'-West coast has been signed by every adult person in Broome, with the exception of about six.

The petition will now be forwarded to Port Hedland for signature.

On the 14th inst, Geo. Dobson, President of the Kimberley Political Labor League, received the following wire from Perth:

"Your wire of the 8th instant received upon my return to Perth. I will be pleased to receive the petitions in reference to State steamers as early as possible.--Scaddan, Premier.
