INTERVIEW WITH MR. MOXON.

Hoping to throw more light on the matter, our reporter this morning interviewed Mr. W. E. Moxon, manager and attorney in Western Australia for the Adelaide Steamship Company. Mr. Moxon said:--

Of one thing I am certain, and that is that the Government will learn that only at a very heavy cost can ships be run on the Nor'-West trade; and when they learn by that experience, it will be the better for the community. But the Treasury must severely suffer in getting that experience, and the Scaddan Ministry must ask the public to pay extra for this possession, as well as for their meat.
