DEATH OF MR. E. TINDALE

Death of Mr Edward Tindale, formerly Director of Works and Commissioner of Main Roads, occurred today. He had a stroke at his home in Thongsbridge Street, Mt. Lawley, on Sunday evening and was removed to the Perth Hospital. He died about 5.30 a.m.

A native of South Melbourne, aged 69, he came to Western Australia about 50 years ago. He joined the Public Works Department and was associated with it until he retired in January, 1941. Since his retirement he has been associated, in an honorary capacity, with munition production in W.A. He leaves a widow and one son. Funeral will take place at Karrakatta Cemetery at 4 p.m. tomorrow.
