After some preliminary hearings, the coroner's enquiry into facts concerning the murder of Mr Mark Liebglid settled down to solid work last Tuesday morning. Each morning and afternoon since it has sat, and apparently will do so for some days yet. Messrs E. H. Hunter, H. Capes, and L. F. James, form the panel. After the examination of Councillor Knick on Tuesday it was decided to clear the Court and exclude representatives of the local and Southern press. Thus no news can be published except that which is learned in the streets, and that, especially in a place like Broome, is better not published.
