The Coroner's Inquest upon the death of Mr Liebglid sat for 11 days between 31st August and 28th inst, and examined 36 witnesses. On Thursday afternoon the jury returned a verdict that Mark Liebglid met his death in Dampier Creek on the night of 30th August from concussion and compression of the brain, and partly from drowning, by the acts of Charles Hagen, Pablo Marques, and Simeon Espada, who we find guilt of wilful murder. The prisoners were then committed by the Resident Magistrate to trial before the Supreme Court. It is expected that at least 16 witnesses in this case will go down to Perth, leaving here by the "Sultan" about 13th proximo.
