55[Durack, Mary, 1983, Sons in the Saddle, Constable, London, page 269]

Durack quotes a personal letter from Roy Phillips to his mother, 22 feb 1912. Close enough!

"Everything in the doldrums the last few weeks but people are all coming in for the Koombana now . . . Patsy Durack and his wife arrived last night and Lillas will leave for South on Saturday. She has the same affliction as assails most newly weds and Patsy will be buying fizz to celebrate in a month or so. Her sister, Nellie, came in with them and is to marry Jack Martin, Manager of Ascot, on the day the boat sails."
