STORM AT BUNBURY.
THE ESTUARY IN FLOOD.
GARDENS DAMAGED.
(By Telegraph.)
(From our Correspondent.)
Bunbury, Feb. 28.
A terrific gale blew from the north all day yesterday. A heavy sea was running over the jetty. The high wind backed the water up the estuary, which rose to a much greater height than ever before in the memory of the oldest inhabitants. It is running right over the white road, and is doing damage to the fruit trees and vines in the gardens and filling up all the drinking wells there. Some of the families living near the river were flooded out, and some parties slept in the Good Templars' Hall.
