PRELIMINARY INQUIRY CONCLUDED.
The preliminary inquiry into the circumstances relative to the loss of the Koombana was concluded yesterday at the office of the Chief Harbour Master, Fremantle, and a report will be forwarded to the Colonial Secretary. The Crown Solicitor (Mr. Frank Parker) represented the Government, and Mr. M. L. Moss, K.C., watched the proceedings on behalf of the Adelaide Steamship Company.
The 'preliminary inquiry' was commenced and concluded on April 22nd. It was no more than a meeting of the three men mentioned.
